Russell Hodge, Certified ArboristRussell Hodge has been involved in the tree care industry for 28 years, and is from a family that has been in the industry for over 60 years.  He is a member of the following organizations:

Russell Hodge is an ISA Certified Arborist #IN-1486A.  He is also an accredited tree appraiser, a state certified pesticide applicator for trees and shrubs (3a), and was a corporate tree crew safety trainer for 7 years.  In 2004, he started the formation of an “Urban Tree Care Workshop” in cooperation with the Purdue Extension Service.  These workshops have been conducted throughout the state of Indiana.

Charles Hodge, Founder / OwnerCharles Hodge is the Founding Owner of Customized Consulting.  He has been in the tree industry all his adult life and has managed and operated multiple tree care companies in distinct parts of the US.

Charles had extensive experience in all areas of the tree care industry.  Starting out in Northwest Indiana as contributing crewman in the family business, Gary Tree Service, Charles mastered the various disciplines involved in successfully managing a tree crew.  As a master climber and crew chief, Charles gained a reputation for quality and scrupulous business dealings.  The Gary Tree Service, founded in 1948, by Charles' father, Wilber, thrived beyond any past successes under Charles administration.

TCIA was established in 1938 as the National Arborist Association and has worked since then to increase the professionalism of arborist and tree care companies.  TCIA started the Accreditation program in 2004 to unite the professionals in the tree care industry under the umbrella of accredited service organizations, it was a natural step for Charles to engage in aiding highly qualified tree care companies in achieving accredited status.

While the answer to that question varries, it's not unusual to cut the process to a third of it's normal time.  In a sense, it's like asking, "How far is it to Rome?"  Answer:  where are you when you ask the question?  That said, there is generally an upward boundary of 4 to 6 months.  Some, however, take as little as 3 months to attain.
